One of our core Values is 'Make it Better'. Improvement is critical. All of our team members responsibility is to find a better way to do things and to improve the business.

We are always on the lookout for ways to improve our business processes - whether this be our Mechanical Engineers finding a better way to make a bucket by reducing labour time or our accounts department finding a better way for our customers to pay their accounts, we are all dedicated to continuous improvement big or small.

We believe there is always going to be a better way - so once one improvement has happened we don’t get satisfied with that, we look for ways to improve the improvement, this is why you will notice we are always changing.

Improving is all part of our culture so this means it comes from everyone - not just the management team. If anyone of the team finds a better way to do something he/she has the ability to put the improvement in place and share it with the rest of the team.

Improvements do not need to be massive, they can be just little incremental improvements that continue to move the business forward on our journey to success!

Some recent improvements are as below.

New lifting tables for our dispatch team.

Previously we used a forklift to take the finished product from our monorail system and put them on pallets before strapping them to be dispatched. This needed two people (one to drive the forklift and one to position the bucket). Also this was not safe as we were having forklifts driving around our factory all the time.

Now we simply use the lifting table to lift the product off the monorail system - the bucket goes strait onto the pallet, only one person is needed to do this and it is a lot safer.

New brackets for sanders and masking tape

Previously the sanders and tape just sat on the ground or on a shelf in the cupboard, they often went missing and took time to find them or put away.

Now they have their dedicated holder, this means they are easily accessible at any time, at a glance you know if something is missing and as they are made specific to the tools nothing else can be put on their rack and clutter up the space.
