What a beauty. Our pride and joy.
Ford County 764. This was the 4 cylinder fitted with a Turbo putting out around 90Hp.
We had a guy Diesel Don ex Ford mechanic who worked for us and he fitted up the used Turbo.
Recall when we sold the Count and about to deliver it, smoke and oil came pouring out the straight exhaust. We shut it down and Don found the turbo was tired. The Old man says can’t sell like that, so fit a new turbo.
These tractors were great around the hills with their 4 wheel diff lock and wet brakes .
Notice no roll frame, hmm. That’s how it was.
The gentleman in the photo is the Dudley Ebbett. I could write a book on him. He is still around, about 95 years old. Drove tanks in WW2. You can see the mischievous smile on his face. More on him later.
